We have a lot to be proud of here in Walton County, aptly named for one of the Founding Fathers of this great nation, George Walton, one of the youngest signer to the Declaration of Independence.
"TODAY WE STILL HOLD THOSE TRUTHS TO BE SELF EVIDENT
THAT ALL MEN ARE
CREATED EQUAL, THAT THEY ARE ENDOWED BY THEIR CREATOR WITH UNALIENABLE RIGHTS THAT AMONG THESE ARE LIFE, LIBERTY AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS".
Founded in 1818 by the Georgia Legislature, Walton Co. ,was then and still is today an agriculture based county.
Only in recent years have we begun to see the change to a more metropolitan type community.
As Atlanta has grown so has Walton County. With a population nearing 100,000 plus, It's not hard to see that we are on the move.
In the last general election we were 2nd, only to Gwinnett county( a much more populated county) for Republicans turn out on election day with a 74% .
Are we growing? The answer to that one is a resounding YES! more industry, better schools, a willing work force, and much more.
To this end we offer our Mission Statement to you, our citizenry.
Mission Statement
The preamble to the DECLARIRATION OF INDEPENDENCE is the foundation on which we continue to build our party not just here in Walton County but as a nation. We have dedicated our public service to those single minded principals.
To continue that great tradition we pledge to:
#1. To promote the highest possible standards in public service
#2.To offer only the highest principled persons for public office
#3. To insure that our government is by and for the people
#4. To restrict government to the smallest possible size to insure
safety and serviceability to it's people
#5. To reduce tax's and offer accountability of those funds
entrusted to us at all levels of government.
#6. And to defend our CONSTITUTION against all aggression
foreign or domestic
We offer these words as our commitment to you and hope that you too will find time to join us here in Walton County, and the Republican Party.
Sincerely
